physic of the future

Question about Michio Kaku's Physics of the Future and Physics of the Impossible?
I've been watching some videos of him on youtube and the topics that he talks about are really interesting. I'm 15 and I can understand pretty much all of the stuff that he talks about, but I was wondering if I would have a really hard time understanding the stuff he talks about in his books. Has anyone read either of his two books that can possibly recommend them to me? I don't want to spend money on a book if I'm not going to understand anything he's talking about lol.
The thing is, when he's talking on youtube and in interviews, he's really dumbing it down. Not to say that his audience is dumb, but he just puts everything in lamens terms so that his audience can understand him. His books are the same way. He doesn't write to nuclear physicists, he knows his audience.
Mine?
